Best place for fresh grocery - I drive miles to come here for goat and fish. Everyone in the store is so nice. Please try their tea. It is a cultural experience to shop here. Support small business and shop local grocery.

Desi chicken was a great price ($16.99) and the butcher was very nice and offered to cut it up for me! It was such a time saver to not have to butcher it myself. The market was clean and well stocked. I'll definitely return!

We went to another halal store and immediately appreciated how organized they keep this place. They also have an extensive frozen section we deeply appreciated.

We just wanted Indian food for lunch after dropping our daughter off at LAX and heading back down to the OC. Don't be discouraged by the plain interior. We had excellent service and the food was delicious. Portions were large so we ended up taking some of the food home for dinner. I ordered the chicken Vindaloo and hubby had the chicken masala, both were very flavorful. One serving of rice was enough.

I was craving samosas one day (i never had a samosa before but just reading what it was online made me want it lol). I drove to 3 different locations that either closed early or were out for the day before I found this location. I had some puff pastry and samosas and they were so good that i walked out and walked back in to buy some more. I've come back a few times just for samosas so i can't speak on anything else but for what I have had I'd say it's worth it. In fact, writing this made me want some lol so I'll get some and post a picture later. Update: I'm a woman of my word lol. I went back to get some and here's a pic of 2 chicken and 1 vegetable samosa.

I was in the area and stopped on a whim. Glad I did. I got some items for the pantry and decided to get food. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan. The "gateway trio of dishes" when you're trying a new Indian/Pakistani restaurant. It was pretty good. The rice was rice. The Garlic Naan was the best I've had in quite some time. The chicken was quite delectable and the BF even had seconds which is rare. Will come back again.

Torrance Food Crawl #337 Al-Amin contains a halal meat counter, a market with Indian/Pakistani items, and a restaurant area where you can order take out or eat in. The sitting area can comfortably hold a couple dozen people. When eating here one is first presented with a stoppered bottle of water and a cup. A small salad with a white cucumber-style dressing next appeared. The salad was average but the dressing was very good. I ordered the Chicken Karahi. However, I ended up receiving the Goat Karahi. (Or, I had chicken that had the most goat-like meat and bones I've ever had.) Personally that was no big deal for me, it wasn't what I ordered, but it didn't bother me. The meat was well cooked and easily came off the bone. The dish was served in a metal handi pot that contained a lot of curry sauce. The sauce had a noticeable curry and chili flavor which gave a nice spicy taste. I like spicy foods and the level of heat was fine with me, but more sensitive persons might find the default level of spiciness a bit much. Very good. The Garlic Naan Bread was ample in portion size and had a nice garlic taste. I also had a Vegetable Samosa which was served with a sweet red sauce. This was very good and I could easily see myself having a meal here of just the different types of samosas. And also try a Mango Lassi drink next time.
